Legal aspects

In April 2016, Royal Port S.A. obtained from the CORPORACIÓN AUTÓNOMA REGIONAL DEL RÍO GRANDE DE LA MAGDALENA (CORMAGDALENA), approval of concession for the temporary and exclusive occupation of 124 hectares in an area of fluvial public use located two kilometers from the muzz of the eastern tajamar of the Grande de la Magdalena River, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of Sitio Nuevo, Department of Magdalena, for the construction of a multipurpose port terminal of maritime and fluvial character.

CORMAGDALENA delivered Resolution of approval of port concession for Royal Port on April 6, 2016 , which was modified by Resolution of December 6, 2018.

Royal Port S.A has environmental license of the port project approved by CORPAMAG by resolution of December 2021.

These projects have undergone comprehensive maritime, climatic, and meteorological studies.

Taking advantage of the favorable and consistent winds in the area. Thanks to the presence of 3 wind measurement towers, there is prior information on wind speed at different heights and the prevailing wind direction at the specific project site: an average of 10.2 m/s.

windiest areas of the country (aprox 10.2

mts/secs), combined with hydraulic power from

the nearby river and abundant solar energy, this port will not only produce its own energy but also emerge as a leading national and international exporter of green hydrogen.
